This somewhat singular wolf is the offspring of the giantess Angrboda and of Loki . Fenrir is therefore a magnificent and incredible GIANT WOLF !
He has managed to take all the place in the family while his sister is the mistress of the world of the dead and that his brother is a giant snake . All this because Fenrir is announced in a prophecy as being the one who will kill everyone during the Ragnarök .
A rope family
While Fenrir was unleashed, the aesir (Odin's people living in Asgard) decided to tie up the wolf to calm him down. No luck, two ropes Loeding and Dromi gave in to the force of the wolf
So they ordered a very powerful rope from the dark elves : Gleipnir which is made based on:
- The sound of a cat's footsteps
- From a woman's beard,
- Of bear tendons,
- Breath of fish
- Bird saliva
With this most improbable list they managed to tie Fenrir , impossible to make this rope give way ... The giant wolf attacks anyone who approaches him.
The wolf dies and remains to suffer until Ragnarök , where he manages to free himself from his bonds to unleash his fury on the world !
